The First Digital Summit for the Oil & Gas Industry

The Energy Digital Summit (EDS) is the first digital communication summit and conference that bridges the gap between technology and innovation within the energy industry.

Jennifer Nguyen Jennifer Nguyen, a digital consultant and brand strategist at BrandElixir Communications, co-founded EDS because she saw the need for a digital summit because “there are some who are killing it on social media. Others have no interest or don’t know how to use LinkedIn or Facebook or Twitter to communicate effectively.”

For Nguyen, the purpose of the summit is to help “educate marketers and create a unique environment with industry marketing leaders. Some don’t have first hand knowledge on how to communicate, generate leads, or understand digital marketing. So to learn from industry leaders is more meaningful.”

Nguyen points to Shell, BP, Statoil, and Baker Hughes as great examples for other companies and industry professionals to learn how to craft a great social media presence.

“They get it. They know how to communicate with their peers and target market. Human Resource managers understand their target markets. They can connect very well in the oil and gas industry.
